Most foreign universities evaluate applicants on the institution’s accreditation and your academic record — not the delivery mode. A degree from a NAAC A+/A++ accredited, UGC-entitled university is generally treated the same as a regular degree during admissions review, though some universities may request additional documentation confirming the program’s UGC status.

For Employment Abroad

Multinational companies with a strong India hiring presence (IT services, consulting, banking) are typically the most familiar with UGC online degrees and treat them equivalently. Smaller foreign employers unfamiliar with the Indian system may simply need the UGC-entitlement explained — carrying your DEB registration confirmation is useful for this.
